As any parent can tell you, the'terrible twos' are a very real thing. But then again, so are the'terrible threes,' and if we are going that far, we may as well be truthful : 4 thru eighteen are not exactly a picnic either. As fast as your youngster's out of the crib, and works out ways to use those legs and arms and lungs, they run, kick, scream, grab, throw and everything else possible.
We are out of time for those now, so let me go forward and propose an alternative solution for a portion of the problem!

For me, a lot of the issue is getting the kid to stay still in order to do stuff like reading or homework. Make the kid love sitting!

How is this possible [*COMMA] you ask? Well, beyond bribing the kid with numerous counterproductive goodies, the best way is to make the kid comfortable. Yes, they've a lot of energy, and yes, they like moving around. Still, they like being comfortable just as much as any one else. If you doubt it, then watch them while they are sleeping again, and remember that they've a sweet little angel hidden within them somewhere. If you can make them comfortable, and get them in the practice of being comfortable and relaxed while doing their homework ( or reading, or whatever else you are attempting to get them to stand still for ), you can make this monumental task a whole lot less complicated.

My precise solution is to use bean bag chairs for kids. I mentioned homework, but if you are just making an attempt to find your'quiet hour,' a bean bag chair and a picture can make for a great babysitter. ( Remember, folks, you do not have the right to moan about what the TV is teaching your kids if you let it do all the parenting! It's still your job to raise them, so use this helpful babysitter carefully. )
I thought of using the idea of the comfy chair totally for homework, but there are lots of benefits to having a ridiculously comfortable bean bag chair available more frequently than that.
They are more than likely going to take care of it. For this reason, if you're going to nab a bean bag chair for your little tyke, let them play a part in the decision! You can use it as an opportunity to teach them small bits about what colours go together ( or about colors in general if they're young enough ), organization, and designs. You'll find there is a lot available out there, to make sure that your kids room doesn't look like a rainbow threw up on it.
As with any other present that you would like to make the most out of, make sure to make a big thing about the bean bag chairs for kids that you're giving to your small prince or princess. If they believe its an element of what proves that you're a more overwhelming parent than the other grown ups, then they're going to like it more! If they like the bean bag chairs for kids more, then they're going to use it more. If they employ it more, you'll need less Excedrin. Really, the sole one who loses here are the producers of migraine medicine.
